Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant supports the Endodontist in delivering efficient and comfortable patient care, ensuring that all instruments, equipment, and patient records are prepared and maintained for optimal clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Endodontist chairside during procedures, ensuring instruments, materials, and equipment are readily available and functioning correctly.

Prepare treatment rooms by disinfecting surfaces, organizing instruments, and stocking supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays), CBCT scans, and other diagnostic images as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

Guide patients through the treatment process, explaining procedures and providing post-operative instructions with clarity and empathy.

Be involved in training and marketing campaigns, visiting referring dentists and dental offices, as well as participating in social media ad video production.

Participate in team-building, training, conferences, and study clubs as part of professional development and team exercises, including occasional after-hours events.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain a list of supplies needed for the Patient Care Coordinator or Office Manager.

Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurate, assisting with documentation as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent, with state licensure if required.

Experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in endodontic procedures preferred.

Knowledge of dental radiography and infection control protocols.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to anticipate needs during procedures.

Excellent patient-relations skills, providing reassurance and clear instructions to enhance patient comfort.
